This is why I write this article, to help you choose the software that best suits your needs, without having to go to the rest of the internet and read between dozens of programs, many of them outdated, or with some manuals Immense to install them.

So with this article you will only have to choose between the 3 or 4 best, saving you a lot of time and money, since all these programs that you will find below are completely free and free, something normal in Linux but not always fulfilled, which also Gives you the security of being using legal software and not as other websites recommend for other operating systems.

If in addition to the programs that I tell you, some of you know another free DVD and CD recording program, do not hesitate to share it with me and the rest of readers through a comment, I would personally appreciate you to share a link of this Article in social networks or your web or blog, I hope that the next programs help you.

Free software to burn CDs and DVDs on Linux:

K3B: This program is quite complete, it is very similar to the famous Windows Nero, it is usually installed by default in some Linux KDE distribution, but if it was not installed, it is one of the best options.

To install K3B through the Linux terminal:

Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install K3B
Sudo apt-get upgrade

Brasero: Like K3B, this recorder goes by default on some Linux, but in this case it is usually pre-installed on Linux systems with Gnome, so it’s another great option, although I personally prefer the first one.

To install Brasero through the Linux terminal:

Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install brazier
Sudo apt-get upgrade

Gnome Baker: Another pretty good Linux recorder, but unfortunately it does not record video DVDs but if audio CD and more.

To install Gnome Baker through the Linux terminal:

Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: gnomebaker / stable
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install gnomebaker

Unfortunately, I have not found any other recorders that I can recommend, since the others I have seen, are quite incomplete and outdated, hopefully over time, be able to add more free programs to burn CD and DVD in Linux.
